One Moment, One Lifetime is the story of Eddie Jardine’s decades-long martial arts journey. His path has always been michi mu gen, Japanese for “a road that has no end”. That means a path that is never straight, with downs, lefts and rights, curves and turns, obstacles, challenges, evolution and illumination.

One Moment, One Lifetime tells that tale. It’s a riveting and ultimately a redemptive read. It covers  growing up “black”, facing prejudice and discrimination during the apartheid era, taking his first faltering steps in martial arts and meeting the remarkable men who shaped and brought him to where he is today.

Jardine sits in the pantheon of the world’s leading martial arts teachers, thinkers and guides. This book documents his extraordinary life story.
